  14. a long boring bad designed intro.

  17. and   most   important   of  all,  the
  18. userfriendliness!

  20. ¢Design  ¹-  The impression you get when
  21. just look at screen.  The menugraphics
  22. and choice of color.

  24. ¢Music ¹- If you can listen to the music
  25. while reading or not..

  28. mag.  How good are the articles, etc!

  45. ¼Intro:¹   well,  There  is no intro in
  46. this  mag  so simply nothing to judge
  47. then...

  49. ¼Code:¹    Well,  nothing  to  complain
  50. about.   All  works as it should even
  51. though  it feels like there should be
  52. something more..

  54. ¼Design:¹  Dark colours and badly drawn
  55. menu  graphics  can  only  make a bad
  56. design.   Actually its really bad.  I
  57. think  they  should  have  it totally
  58. redesigned.     Some   more   colours
  59. shouldnt do any harm either..
  60.  
  61. ¼Music:¹   Its  a  quite nice tune that
  62. fits   the   mag.    But  I  couldn't
  63. remember   anything   of  it  when  I
  64. rebooted.   Quite  good  but  nothing
  65. more.  You can do better Michael!

  67. ¼Contents:¹   This  is  a mag and not a
  68. mag.  If you understand what I try to
  69. say.   They  have  no  articles,  its
  70. simply  a  message  / news / advert /
  71. chart-mag.   But all included is of a
  72. high   quality.   They  have  lot  of
  73. support  for  the  mag  and  that  is
  74. great!

  76. ¼Overall:¹   Ehh...  Its not a standard
  77. mag,  but  it  fulfills its ambitions
  78. and  it  has not got any huge delays.
  79. Its  the  BEST message/news/chart mag
  80. on  the  scene  right now...  And its
  81. really great that it comes out often!

  83. ¶¢ETERNAL #2
  84.  
  85. ¼Intro:¹  Just a loading picture but of
  86. a very high quality!  Kris shows that
  87. he is not only a main editor but also
  88. a GREAT graphician.
  89.  
  90. ¼Code:¹  They have the best code that I
  91. have  seen  in  any  diskmag.  It has
  92. simply   everything  and  its  really
  93. fast!  Kris is also a great coder!
  94.  
  95. ¼Design:¹   If  you  are into darkcolor
  96. design  and the normal school this is
  97. state  of  the  art.   Its  extremely
  98. nice.   It  gives  and extremely nice
  99. impression   and   its  really  great
  100. graphics.
  101.  
  102. ¼Music:¹     A    diskmag    tune    of
  103. WOTW/Essence  that is actually really
  104. great!   It  suits  the mag very good
  105. and  helps  a  lot  in  building  the
  106. Eternal-Atmosphere.

  108. ¼Contents:¹   LOT of articles, and even
  109. if  some  is  not topclass, you can't
  110. point on an article that is bad.  But
  111. too  average,  its the only bad thing
  112. in this otherwise great mag.

  114. ¼Overall:¹  Yes!  The Mag of the Autumn
  115. 93.  This issue is simply great!  The
  116. chart  is  good,  the design is good,
  117. the articles are good and the support
  118. is  good.   They  have  a very bright
  119. future!  In my eyes is this a diskmag
  120. that belong on the top 3!

  123. ¶¢JUNGLE #4
  124.  
  125. ¼Intro:¹   Its  just  a  picture  of  a
  126. goatheadedman   playing   a  panpipe,
  127. perhaps  its  Pan  himself?   But the
  128. picture  is  quite  average  but  NOT
  129. bad..
  130.  
  131. ¼Code:¹   Yes!  Multitasking and system
  132. friendly!  Harddisk installable!  And
  133. it has never bugged on my Amiga.  The
  134. only   minus   is   the  speed!   Its
  135. terrible  slow  in printing each page
  136. on the screen...

  138. ¼Design:¹  The design is both great and
  139. lowquality!   I mean, the menupage is
  140. really  great designed but the design
  141. of    the    articles    are   pretty
  142. low-quality...
  143.  
  144. ¼Music:¹   Average!   Its not bad but I
  145. cant say that I liked it either..
  146.  
  147. ¼Contents:¹  Not much articles but most
  148. of  them  are of a very high quality!
  149. The   poem  about  nazism  is  really
  150. great!  But the charts should perhaps
  151. be  removed, they have simply to less
  152. voters, only 16!  At least 100 voters
  153. is neccessary for a good chart.

  155. ¼Overall:¹   This mag is a survivor and
  156. will  for sure be among the top mags.
  157. If  they change the few things I have
  158. mentioned  they  could  even  compete
  159. against RAW and Upstream!

  163. ¶¢RAW #6
  164.  
  165. ¼Intro:¹   Hmm...   Three quality title
  166. pictures   from   known  artists  and
  167. nothing  else...   A  bit  boring but
  168. nicelooking.

  170. ¼Code:¹   Its  a really great code that
  171. handles  almost  all things a diskmag
  172. code  should  handle  and  its really
  173. fast  too.  Nothing to complain about
  174. here, No(r)way!
  175.  
  176. ¼Design:¹  This is the State of the Art
  177. when it comes to design since so many
  178. others  have copied their style.  Its
  179. really nice!
  180.  
  181. ¼Music:¹  Weehow, I loved the tune from
  182. Lizard/Lemon.(?)  it gave the special
  183. Raw-atmosphere.
  184.  
  185. ¼Contents:¹      Only     scene-related
  186. articles but LOT of them and they are
  187. mostly  great.  They have most of the
  188. best writers writing for them so what
  189. can you expect.

  191. ¼Overall:¹  This is the SCENE mag right
  192. now,  only  if  they could stop their
  193. delays...   Because  people  begin to
  194. think  that  other  mags  are  better
  195. because RAW is not released regularly
  196. and  then they will begin their slide
  197. down the charts...

  203. ¶¢SCENE TALK #5

  205. ¼Intro:¹  What should we say?  Its only
  206. an average picture during the loading
  207. but  its  much  better  than  a  lame
  208. intro.  Nothing to complain about!

  210. ¼Code:¹   It works as it should and its
  211. actually  good,  although  I  feel it
  212. confusing  to  use cursor up to go to
  213. the  next  article  instead of cursor
  214. down.... Anyway nice work!

  216. ¼Design:¹   ehh...   the menupanels are
  217. quite  good but the fonts (uaaaargh!)
  218. and  the  layout  are  bad!   And its
  219. really  hard  reading a text when the
  220. letters   are   some   kind  of  tech
  221. designed  and  in  uppercase.  Try to
  222. change it...

  224. ¼Music:¹  I cant explain why but I love
  225. this   tune,   I   cant  remember  it
  226. afterwards but when I am listening to
  227. it  I  always  love  it!  Keep up the
  228. good work!

  230. ¼Contents:¹  Not many articles and some
  231. are  just  onepage  articles but some
  232. are  really good.  One minor drawback
  233. is   the  charts  that  are  somewhat
  234. really  strange.  Mostly voted for by
  235. unknwon  dudes  and  almost  no known
  236. swappers.  Infact I have never seen a
  237. votesheet for Scene Talk before and I
  238. have  seen 1000 different votesheets.
  239. They   should   perhaps  spread  more
  240. votesheets.

  243. ¶¼Overall:¹     This   was   the   first
  244. production  I  had seen from Mystic a
  245. quite  unknown group in the scene but
  246. if  they  improve  the mag they could
  247. become  something  cool.   Anyway the
  248. mag is a little bit above average and
  249. 1000 times better than Suicid!

  253. ¢UPSTREAM #7

  255. ¼Intro:¹ Just a nice little picture by
  256. Chagall that I liked a lot...
  257.  
  258. ¼Code:¹    Nothing  to  complain  about
  259. here,  it  works as it should and the
  260. "search-bug"  has  been  fixed.   The
  261. fastest advanced routine right now..
  262.  
  263. ¼Design:¹   Ugly  colors  as always but
  264. they   suit   each  other.   And  the
  265. articles are very well formatted!
  266.  
  267. ¼Music:¹    I   love   this   tune   by
  268. Subjekt/Balance.   In fact its one of
  269. the  few tunes I play while reading a
  270. mag.   I  mostly  turn  of the volume
  271. after  a minute or two but this one I
  272. had  playing  for  the  whole  hour I
  273. spent reading the mag.  GREAT job!

  275. ¼Contents:¹    They   have   the   best
  276. articles  and  the  biggest amount of
  277. them too..

  279. ¼Overall:¹  I have said it before and I
  280. will  say it again.  Upstream will be
  281. before  Raw  in the charts VERY soon,
  282. if they continue like this...
